Overview of the Role The Marketing Business Development Coordinator is designed to be an ambassador to the community and business partners, but also drive the brand, new members, and new loans into the branches or online.
This position will seek and manage opportunities for GPO to expand membership through partnerships with both businesses and the community at large.
This individual is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy to establish new business and implement programs that will both grow GPO's membership and increase product volume using traditional and digital marketing techniques.
This individual is also responsible for communications and participation at previously connected Selected Employer Group (SEG) and redeveloping the relationships of these groups by Identifying employers and businesses within our footprint and establish Community Business Partner (CBPs) with key personnel to promote credit union benefits to businesses, employees and members of the community.
Requirements:
Marketing and Business Development Coordinator Responsibilities Build and manage relationships with employers and their employees to create a network of CU contacts.
To be the key point of contact with employers from initial introductions to benefit fairs and on-going relationship-building.
Contact CBPs in-person, via email, and telephone on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to cement the relationship as GPO being their financial institution.
Provide metric and action plans regularly.
Develop strategies with marketing team to ensure we are in communication with CBPs and are represented at CBP events, such as benefit fairs, employee events, community events, etc.
To develop an annual strategy outlining initiatives, tactics and key products and services that will be presented to employers, personnel and in the community.
Promote all products and services with cross-selling to meet members' or community member needs.
Work with Branch Managers to establish community presence (i.
e.
Board of Trade Councils and local committees.
) Attend various meetings in the community and/or at trade associations to develop new business prospects and promote the credit union.
Contact prospective members, CBPs, auto dealers, RV/boat and motorcycle dealers, brokers, realtors, etc.
to present information on products and services of the credit union.
Seek out new business opportunities.
Collaborate with Branch staff to ensure all leads are members inquiries are handled in timely manner.
Develop focus groups and member surveys to stay connected with our membership and ensure we are meeting their needs.
Proactively research competitor's current product and service offerings and measure them against our offerings to gauge member satisfaction and opportunities for enhancing our existing products and services.
Utilize the credit union tools, database and various core programs to document and develop member segmentation and personalized campaigns.
To coordinate and conduct financial literacy programming throughout the communities' served, including but not limited to the following:
To establish and coordinate in-school banking programs in conjunction with the branch managers.
To identify not-for-profit, local organizations that could benefit from banking services or financial literacy classes.
To create a monthly shared calendar and to provide a month-end report on results of efforts.
To perform other duties as assigned.
Marketing and Business Development Coordinator Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of progressive marketing or business development experience required.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations preferred but not required.
Possess the ability to prioritize business commitments and multi-task to meet deadlines.
Strong PC skills and in-depth experience in social media marketing Travel and reliable transportation required.
Strong oral, written, verbal and public presentation skills.
Ability to work and think independently.
