Overview of the Role The Human Resources Specialist will play a major role in GPO's hiring process.
The HR Specialist is primarily responsible for successfully recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees in a timely manner.
The HR Specialist will be a resource to hiring managers and will provide general support to the Human Resources Department.
Requirements:
Human Resources Specialist Responsibilities Post job openings and analyze the effectiveness of different mediums Continually assess our recruiting efforts and stay up to date on newest trends Work with the Marketing Department to create hiring content Establish relationships with Department of Labor, local colleges, and other establishments to meet with future candidates, advertise job opportunities, and build a candidate pool Attend local events to recruit talent Coordinate GPO job fairs and effective advertising strategies Interview candidates with hiring managers and guide managers through the process to ensure quality hires Provide position offers, create employment/compensation contracts as needed, announce new employees Track time to hire data and strive for efficiency Analyze hiring surveys and implement changes as appropriate Administer the credit union's onboarding process Provide new hire orientation as needed Review onboarding surveys and implement changes as necessary Develop, coordinate & supervise summer teller program.
Update and maintain employee records and human resources databases Assist the Human Resources Department with employee engagement, appreciation and recognition events throughout the year as needed Conduct administrative HR duties such as annual reporting and other filing Complete other duties as assigned in order to support the department and the Credit Union Human Resources Specialist Expectations Bring positivity and enthusiasm to work every day.

Human Resources Specialist Qualifications Ability to act with professionalism and tact Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relevant field with prior recruiting and onboarding experience preferred.
Associate's degree or HS diploma with 3-5 years of similar experience required.
Determined and motivated individual with a positive attitude Ability to work in a team setting as well as take on individual projects Time management and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Human Resources Specialist Physical Demands Sitting for prolonged periods of time Frequent computer usage and screen time Frequent typing and usage of fine motor skills GPO's Benefits Package Includes:
