5 New Hartford, NY New Hartford, NY Part-time Part-time $15 an hour $15 an hour A Receptionist with Community Wellness Partners is responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations as indicated below.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Answers all Calls in a timely manner Screen the calls and ensure you are transferring the caller to the appropriate extension.
Transferring calls to, or providing personal Team Member cell phones is prohibited.
Obtaining telephone messages as needed and communicating with appropriate personnel via email or message slip.
Screens all visitors are ensuring visitors are tested per CDC, DOH, or CWP Infection Control Requirements.
Please have the visitor complete the testing sheet Perform the test handling all fluids and swabs with gloves.
Make sure the test result is entered onto the appropriate index cards.
Place all testing sheets into the proper folder or locked box (per campus).
Employee Testing as Needed - As directed per DOH and CWP Infection Control guidelines Report any and all positive testing to Director of Nursing or Supervisor, CWP Infection Control, HIS (Medical Records) and Administrator immediately.
Paycheck Distribution-You may begin handing out paychecks per Human Recourses direction Thursdays at 4 pm on pay weeks.
Ensure all visitors sign in and sign out on Kiosk Monitoring Security Systems in place as per campus.
Screen's all visitors prior to allowing access into the building.
Designed to enhance security for staff and residents.
Report any potential security breaches to proper personnel (example- visitors have codes to doors and stairways).
Emergency Paging for all codes as needed.
All overhead pages additionally as needed or directed.
Newspaper, Mail separation and forwarding (as per campus) Screening of Staff Employees, contractors, upon entrance.
Collection of funds and disbursement of meal tickets for visitors and staff.
Collection of funds as per facility sponsored activities and turn funds into responsible party.
Present good customer service with a positive and friendly attitude.
Additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor OFFICE TASKS:
Directs calls and takes messages appropriately in a professional manner.
Performs clerical functions of the receptionist role and responsibility.
Labels newspapers in the morning for the residents and departments and coordinates with the staff responsible to deliver resident mail daily.
Coordinates with other departments as needed Answers questions and provides direction and assistance to visitors while following PHI/HIPAA guidelines.
Assists with customer concerns/complaints and coordinates as needed with Administrative staff.
Computer Skills required Ensures Accushield Visit Log in - Updated with all admissions, discharges, room changes etc.
to ensure visitors ease of electronic check in.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Performs other related duties or miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Education:
High School graduate PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Appropriate attire as required by department dress code.
Must be able to work independently.
Complies with the code of conduct and proper badge identification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
Subject to frequent interruptions Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
HIPAA COMPLIANCE:
Demonstrates HIPAA regulations governing the confidentiality and security of protected health information.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
