EHS Technician

EHS Technician We have a great new opening for an EHS Technician in the New Hartford, NY area.
This position will provide technical and administrative support to specific Environmental, Health, Wellness and Safety Programs.
This role must promote safety culture and EH&S tasks and initiatives.
Must have a passion for EH&S.
RESPONSIBILITIESTrain employees in safe work procedures.
Conduct on site EHS training as well as coordinate outside EH&S vendor training to meet P&W, UTC and OSHA annual requirements.
Responsible for updating and maintaining the Safety Data Sheet Database library and assisting with the chemical inventory per P&W GHS standards.
Work with IH Coordinator to perform Local Exhaust Ventilation Annual Sampling and reports trends and results to EHS Manager for review.
Conduct compliance inspection audits, inspections and observations and provides results to the EHS Manager for review.
Complete well-defined EHS projects and corresponding duties within assigned timelines.
Implement preventative corrective/ actions and continuous improvement activities as directed.
REQUIREMENTSAssociate's Degree 3
years' experience in an industrial environment required & Environmental, Health and Safety experience preferredAbility to continually prioritize a wide variety of tasks while maintaining a high level of organization and quality while adhering to time lines.
