Experience: Mid Level We're looking for an enthusiastic and talented Hardware Engineer to join our Hardware Quality Assurance Team based in New Hartford, NY. PAR provides cloud-based Restaurant Management and Food Safety services to Customers across the Globe, with point-of-sale systems in more than 75,000 restaurants and more than 110 countries. Our Engineers work in small teams and influence the sustainability, support and development of our products. In this role, you will be challenged to work across a variety of new product releases and updates to existing products. To be successful you would need to bring to the table skills to be able to handle a high volume of Change Management tasks to quickly analyze the change requested, formulate the steps to be taken tocomplete and document the change. This will require working closely with external and internal stakeholders in an organized fashion. You will be working with the Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Product Management teams on a day-to-day basis.   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Change Request task completion by analyzing, developing an Implementation Plan and documenting new product or existing product change requests. Primarily related to hardware. Quality Assurance testing for the release of new or updated solutions to PAR Customers. Assist through release cycles in testing new features, enhancements and defect fixes. Collect Regulatory Compliance approval certifications of products to be released   KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major is preferred 2+ years of relevant experience doing support and/or quality testing for a hardware / software solutions development company. Knowledge of Engineering Drawing release processes Good working knowledge of PC hardware components and architecture Experience of Microsoft Windows OS administration and troubleshooting (including hardware integration, drivers, staging, etc.) Understanding of Network protocols and experience diagnosing connection-related issues Familiarity with PC-based Hardware Performance Measurement tools such as Passmark software Experience with iOS and Android based operating systems/browsers (from support/testing perspective) is a benefit Tablet and other mobile device configuration and settings Windchill PLM and/or Creo Solution experience a benefit Excellent written and verbal communication skills   WE VALUE A self-motivated individual, able to work with little supervision Capability to following defined procedures Ability to evaluate and recommend updates and improvements to test plans and procedures based upon experience, new tools or accepted industry practices   Quality: "Possesses an understanding of and performs work related activities in accordance with and in support of the corporation Quality Policy". The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
